Pine Market is about to get a sizzling new addition, and foodies have every reason to celebrate! New Bridge Fusion Steakhouse is set to open its doors in March 2026, bringing an exciting twist to classic steakhouse dining.

The brainchild of an experienced and passionate ownership team, including majority partner Jason Yu, a seasoned restaurateur with a proven track record of launching successful dining concepts; Chef David Moore; Megan Moore; and Tommy Lee.

“Our ownership team blends strategic leadership, culinary creativity, hospitality expertise, and a genuine care and commitment to serving the Woodforest community,” said Chef Moore, who will be leading the culinary program.

The Southeast Texas native has spent the last 20 years building his culinary career from the ground up. A graduate of The Art Institutes of Houston, he honed his skills through internships with Spectrum and Cordúa Catering in downtown Houston. His diverse experience ranges from Texas steakhouses and southern comfort fare to sushi and fusion-forward concepts.

“With a diverse background, I hope to have something for everyone to enjoy, and can guarantee a great dish served with a friendly smile seven days a week,” he said. “I promise to listen to the community and provide chef specials that rotate with the wants and needs of Woodforest, and plan for us to stay very active in the community for years to come.”

The menu promises to be a treasure trove of flavor-packed dishes. While Chef Moore is keeping most of the details under wraps, he was willing to tease a few mouthwatering dishes, including honey bourbon fried ribs, crawfish bisque, a show-stopping porterhouse steak, and a char-grilled cauliflower steak for vegetarians. The kid’s menu, which is anything but an afterthought, will feature items such as the loaded mac ‘n cheese bowl.

Moore said that while he aims to offer the best steak in Montgomery County, he is very excited about two menu items — apple pie bread pudding with Crown Apple caramel sauce and Creole shrimp and sausage linguine.

“I've been working on the bread pudding for a long time, and I think, after gaining a few pounds, we got it just right,” he said. “I'm excited to share it with everyone. As far as the pasta, I feel you can really get a sense of my love for food and my passion for fusion in that sauce. “

In addition to the food there, will be an extensive bar with a refined, mixology-forward cocktail program, refreshing frozen beverages (with or without alcohol), an extensive wine list, and a concise but focused beer selection highlighting regional favorites and local craft brews.

Diners will be able to enjoy their meals in a spacious 6,000-square-foot building that includes a bar area, lounge, and seating for approximately 150 guests. There is also a 2,600-square-foot patio that has been designed to host live music.

“Think of it as a place that is elegant enough that you would feel excited to take your spouse on a date night, but approachable and comfortable enough to bring your kids on a Tuesday,” Moore said.

In the process of searching for the right home for the restaurant, Moore and his wife fell in love with Woodforest. They moved to the community in May.

“We see New Bridge as an opportunity to give back to the place that welcomed us home,” he said. “Pine Market is the center of the neighborhood, where pretty much any day is a great day to gather the family and spend time together in the market. Our goal is to create a place that accentuates that.”

Moore said that the restaurant is being built for the community.

“Our mission is to create a restaurant that feels familiar, comfortable, elegant, and full of character — a true gathering place in the heart of Woodforest,” he said. “A place ‘Where Comfort Meets Adventure.’"
